These needle felted creations, by artist Marcia Dundore Wolter, are made using a sharp, pronged needle called a felting needle. The prongs on the needle catch the wool fibers and pack them into a wadded bunch of wool. By repeatedly stabbing the bunch, fibers become linked together and form a tight wad. More fibers can be added by felting them into the wadded form.
