Rebekah, inspired by the Amish community of Arthur, Illinois, is dressed in her Sunday best. She carries a daisy and a basket of eggs (porcelain). Marcia's interest in the Amish stems from her own Pennsylvania Dutch heritage and many years living near Arthur, Illinois.
Standing 30" tall, Rebekah has a jointed hip, so she can be posed in a sitting position. The complete wire and plastic armature, also, helps to realistically pose this doll.
Rebekah's detailed and carefully sculpted feet can be displayed barefooted or in her real Amish infant's shoes and black socks. Her slip and pantalettes are "plain". She also wears a white Sunday apron, white inner bonnet, and a black outer bonnet. Rebekah is limited to an edition of 30 for
$595
Samuel, Rebekah's Amish companion, is 30" tall and has a porcelain head, shoulder-plate, hands and feet. His cloth body contains a wire and plastic armature. A hard working young man, he arrives with his milk pail in hand. Samuel comes with a Summer straw hat and a black felt hat. He wears a blue long sleeved work shirt and has black suspenders holding up his Amish front-flap pants. His "plain" shirt has no buttons and is fastened with snaps. His shoes are black leather hightops (antique infant shoes).
Samuel is limited to an edition size of 30 for $595
He can also be ordered with a stick fishing pole and a porcelain Bluegill sunfish for
